About Your Chef- Kevin Moriarty
Hello, my name is Kevin Moriarty, Owner of Top Water Trips & Top Water Cooking. I grew up on the edge of the Oley Valley fishing with my dad and cooking with my mother. Cooking was introduced to me by my mother, just as her mother introduced it to her. Cooking and time spent in the kitchen can bring people together. In addition to that personal truth, my mother laid the groundwork for the knowledge and experience I have today. So, as time has passed my interest and passion for cooking and being a Personal Chef in Pa has grown.
I am a certified Wilderness First Responder and am trained and certified to guide overnight, daily and weekend trips. I have training in River Entomology, Knot Tying, Drift Boating, Jet Boating, Wilderness Medicine, Fly Casting, Kayaking, Cooking, ServSafe Food Handling as well as Food Safety Management. From RACC I also received my Associate in Business, Cum Laude. Brian F, an award-winning Chef and restaurant owner, and Jane, an accomplished Vegetarian Chef in Berks County, have taught me many things about food. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today with Top Water Trips & Top Water Cooking.
All of my training, education, and experience have been geared to owning and operating a guide and personal chef service. So, to me that means adopting meaningful responsibilities, sharing knowledge, and providing a service unparalleled in Pennsylvania. I have a ton of fun on the water and in the kitchen.
